Why the name wallywood?
The name Wallywood is obviously derived from 2 words
"wally" - meaning idiot, fool or stupid person
"Hollywood" - The centre of the film and movie industry
Thus Wallywood implies fools within the movie industry
When was Wallywood born?
Wallywood was born in August 2002, with the idea of providing a greater depth to
the already excellent movie mistake sites on the net. Time and technology will prove
whether our vision was accurate. The site went live a few months later.
Who was behind the idea?
Initially Zane started the idea off but realised that newer technology was
needed to handle the demand in database and usability. Ian was able to provide expertise
in that area and is currently producing a .Net version.
What should i do if i want to "breath new life into an old film"?
The idea is you select your chosen film. Then simply choose the order you want the
movie mistakes in. The default value is based on time in the movie, once you have
printed the page, sit down in front of your favourite film with your popcorn and
lemonade and enjoy seeing things in your favourite film that you would not have
noticed in a thousand years.
How do i submit a movie mistake?
You need to be a member to submit a mistake. Membership is free and also exciting.
once you have joined you can click on the "Submit Mistake" button and fill in as
many details as possible. The time of the mistake in the movie is very handy for
other members.
How do i get an Oscar?
Oscars are based on a number of variables. Once you have become a member and submitted
a mistake you are then able to qualify for an Oscar. The quality and amount of contribution
helps, along with overall involvement and popularity of the observation or movie
mistake. In fact we closely guard the secret of how to get a gold oscar.
How do i nominate a movie mistake for an Oscar?
As you preview the mistakes as a member , you are entitled to make "nominees" for
an Oscar. Simply clicking the "nominate" button doesn't give the person an Oscar
but does help indirectly along with other guarded secrets.
