Mr. Deeds
Mr. Deeds (2002)

When Longfellow Deeds, a small-town pizzeria owner and poet, inherits $40 billion from his deceased uncle, he quickly begins rolling in a different kind of dough. Moving to the big city, Deeds finds himself besieged by opportunists all gunning for their piece of the pie. Babe, a television tabloid reporter, poses as an innocent small-town girl to do an exposé on Deeds. Of course, Deeds' sincere naiveté has Babe falling in love with him instead. Ultimately, Deeds comes to find that money truly has the power to change things, but it doesn't necessarily need to change him.

Video 0:01 Fact If Preston Blake was really 100 yards from Mt. Everest's peak, he should have had on a oxygen mask or he would have died in the thin air. jimmy1
Video 0:01 Fact When Blake is frozen at the top of Mt. Everest which is approx. 30,000 feet tall, a Helicopter is used to pick him up and take him down. No helicopter has ever climbed and will probably never be able to climb 6 miles. For one, a chopper's rotor does not rotate fast enough to cut through the air like a 600mph airliner, and at 30,000 ft. the air is way too thin to hover or even fly. Most choppers' ceiling is around 15,000 ft, half mt everest. julia2
Video 0:04 Continuity When the businessmen first arrive in Mr Deeds' home town, the "air-traffic-controller" is playing with a toy plane on a string. He puts it down, and walks over to the businessmen without it. But when he's talking to the businessmen, he's still holding it. julia2

Near the end of the conversation, he's now holding a beer mug on top of a plate. jimmy1
Video 0:08 Continuity When Deeds (Adam Sandler) goes out to deliver pizza, he meets up with 3 old women sitting on a bench. As Deed gives one pizza to an elderly lady, the lady in the middle has both her hands in front of her. Cut to a different angle but now she has both her hands on her lap. jimmy1
Video 0:11 Continuity The homeless character portrayed by Steve Buscemi is having a conversation with Longfellow, he is eating a slice of his favourite pizza; French Fries & Oreos. In shot in the scene Buscemi takes a bite out of the slice of pizza, and there is one Oreo on the slice, toward the front of it. Then the shot goes to Longfellow for a moment, and in the next shot of Buscemi, the Oreo is suddenly at the other end of the slice. The Oreo continues moving from the front to the back of the slice throughout the scene. julia2
Video 0:11 Continuity "Crazy Eyes" right eye is higher than his left. Towards the end of the film when Deeds delivers the peanut butter and gumballs pizza, the left eye is higher and the right is low. julia2

The butler gets carried away and stabs the poker through his foot virtually nailing it to the floor. When they show the butler start hitting the foot. Deeds heel of the black foot is roughly 6 or so inches from the front of the couch. When the butler stabs the poker through his foot Deeds screams acting like it hurt and scares the butler. BUT when the sceen changes to the side view where you can see the poker going through the foot and into the floor. The foot is (no pun intented) about a foot and half from the front of the couch. He could not have moved his foot 12 inches if it was nailed to the floor. julia2

Video 0:26 Continuity When the "mugger" runs away and Deeds goes after him, the two trash cans are shown. The one closest can clearly been seen as being a bit away from the wall, but in the scene where the mugger runs into it, it is right up against the wall. jimmy1
Video 0:26 Continuity When the mugger hits the ground, he falls on the stolen handbag. When he gets up he doesn't have it on him anymore. When Deeds finishes beating him up, he collects the handbag no where near where the mugger dropped it. Also the handbag, when looking at where it is picked up from, should have been shown while he was getting beat up - it isn't. jimmy1
Video 0:26 Continuity When Adam Sandler beats the supposed mugger, he and Winona Ryder step over the mugger's body, but then stop to talk. The shot then shifts from the two talking (with no one behind them), to the mugger (who is behind them), back to Sandler and Ryder talking again (with no one behind them). julia2

Video 0:48 Plot When Deeds is helping the lady find her cats so she will leave the burning building, he's already found six out the window and she says 'Now where's Fluffy' or something like that. You can see a black cat on the counter behind her, yet the one that Deeds finds is an orange tabby under the coffee table (the one on fire) So that means that there are 8 cats. julia2
Video 0:49 Visual When Deeds rescues the last cat from the fire, if you look closely, you can see the fire-proof glove he has on his hand. jimmy1
Video 0:49 Continuity When Deeds rescues the woman from the fire, right before him and her jump out the window, all seven cats were rescued, but we can visually see a black cat on the left of the screen on top of the stove. Deeds and the woman jump from the window, leaving the black cat on top of the stove to burn in the fire. All seven cats were obviously not rescued. jimmy1
Video 0:49 Continuity The most flame retardent box of cereal ever! When Deeds saves the woman from the burning building, there is a box of cereal next to the window that is on fire, and only on fire at the top of the box. The scene takes three or four minutes, yet through it all the fire never spreads to the rest of the box or dies out. The top just keeps on burning. julia2
Video 0:50 Visual During the apartment fire scene, when they bounce on the catcher, the bounce up was a rewind of the way down. jimmy1

But for some reason she is able to tape the 2 cats being thrown. julia2
Video 0:53 Continuity When Deeds and Chuck Cedar are playing tennis, Deeds hits him with a ball (numerous times) One of the times (I think the second) you see the ball roll behind him, off to the side by about 2 1/2 feet. As the scene goes on, it shows another shot of him and now the same ball is about 5 feet away, and there aren't any other balls on the screen. julia2
Video 0:54 Miscellaneous When the bad guy (Peter Gallagher's character) is teaching Deeds tennis, the spy tabloid guy moves from one side of the net to the other several times within shots and angles. jimmy1
Video 0:54 Continuity While Deeds and Chuck Cedar are playing tennis, Cecil is shown a couple of times sitting up on the umpire's chair apparently calling the game. In those closeup shots of him, there is an umbellra visible above and behind him. But when the court is shown in a wide shot several times, there is no umbrella above or behind where Cecil is sitting. In those wide shots, the closest one is at least ten feet away and to his side. jimmy1

Video 1:12 Fact When the girl falls into the ice and Deeds come to save her you would think that she is just a tad bit cold. Well if you look the girl and deeds have no breath. if there is ice, snow, and a frozen lake should'nt it be cold enough to see there breath? jimmy1
Video 1:12 Fact Exactly how strong is the ice in New Hampshire? First, they show Pam Dawson walking across it, making it about halfway across, and then falling through. Deeds arrives a minute later, drives his bike onto the frozen pond, and stands only a few feet away from the open hole. Then, when she starts drowning, and he clears a spot to ram his foot through, Pam puts her face right up to the ice, only an inch or two from the surface, and on top of that, Deeds is standing right there! This must be some strong ice, if an inch of it doesn't break right under your feet. julia2
Video 1:12 Fact When "Pam Dawson" falls in the ice near the end, you can clearly see the snow is fake, since it floats on water for a long time and is still pure white, while real snow melts or goes grey fairly quickly. jimmy1
Video 1:13 Continuity When Pam Dawson is trapped under the Ice Deeds is looking for her the camera shows Deeds feet walking along the ice surface looking for her...when they show his feet he has only one shoe on...in the next shot he has both of his shoes on. julia2
Video 1:13 Continuity When Winona Ryder falls in the ice, she can't swim and she's flailing around and having trouble staying above water. But when Deeds runs down to her, all of a sudden, she's able to stay afloat for a minute or two before completely submerging under water. julia2
Video 1:14 Visual When Pam was saved by Deeds from the ice water her make-up is perfect even though she was just pulled out after being submerged in the water. delboy

Video 1:20 Miscellaneous Babe Bennett enters a hall and talks to the group of investors in Blake Media. In the middle of the scene she takes hold of a microphone to speak to everyone. But we don't hear any difference in the volume of her voice. julia2
